Presentations available from 2024 Controlled Atmospheric Storage Clinic
The presentations associated with this event are available to review.
Randolph Beaudry, a post-harvest physiology professor at Michigan State University (MSU), hosted a Controlled Atmospheric Storage Clinic on July 17, 2024. The event featured post-harvest physiology experts from across North America for a focused day on apple storage disorders and best practices. Event speakers included Randolph Beaudry, MSU; Chris Watkins, Cornell University; Jennifer DeEll, Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs; Carolina Torres, Washington State University; Renfu Lu, U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service (USDA-ARS) and MSU; David Rudell, USDA-ARS; Heather Borden and Theresa Bergholz, MSU Food Science; and Chayce Griffith and Alex Engelsma, MSU Horticulture.
These researchers are working together to advance our understanding of how apple biology changes in storage conditions. Their work informs industry best practices and allows for increased storage time with limited reductions in apple quality.
