Season Effect on Storage Outcome in Honeycrisp and Gala Apples

The impact of season and dynamic controlled atmosphere (DCA) storage on the highly valuable cultivars Gala and Honeycrisp is provided. DCA generally improves the storage life of both cultivars and has the potential to suppress some internal browning disorders. A comparison of different DCA technologies is provided.
