Background and Research Interests
Patricia is interested in researching global risk assessment of aflatoxin and its impact on dairy products. Her goal is to provide scientific evidence on the health effects of aflatoxin M1, compare its risks with the nutritional benefits of milk, and contribute to informed policymaking. Additionally, she focuses on sustainable solutions for improving low-moisture food safety by addressing Salmonella-related recalls. Through optimizing traceability systems and estimating economic losses, she aims to prevent future food recalls.
