Michelle Luttrell
Michelle Luttrell is the Michigan State University Extension SNAP Outreach for Veterans Program Instructor, covering Eastern Michigan, and housed in Iosco County. In addition to SNAP Outreach, she also provides Health programs for adults, in-person and virtually.
In her Veteran Outreach role, Michelle coordinates outreach efforts across Eastern Michigan to assist military veterans and their families in accessing Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits and provides direct support to those individuals during their application process.
Michelle’s husband is a Veteran himself, serving in the Marine Corps for 8 years. “Veterans hold a special place in my heart, and I’m honored to be able to help and serve them in this way.” – Michelle said.
She has been with MSU Extension since December 2019. Her previous role with MSU Extension was Community Nutrition Instructor for Iosco and Alcona counties. Prior to joining MSU Extension Michelle spent two years as a Personal Trainer for the local gym in Oscoda, MI, helping clients on their health & fitness journey.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a triple major in Advertising, Marketing and Management, from Northwood University in Midland, MI, with a minor in Language Arts.
