Calling all Michigan CSA farmers: We want to hear from you!
If you sell food through a subscription model, we hope you'll consider taking the Michigan CSA Survey.
Are you a farmer in the community supported agriculture (CSA) space? Do you operate an aggregated food box program? If you connect consumers to food through a subscription model, we want to hear from you! Michigan State University Extension, in partnership with Michigan Food and Farming Systems, Taste the Local Difference, and the Michigan Farmers Market Association, is conducting a statewide CSA farmer survey.
Similar surveys were conducted in 2018 and 2022 to further understand the landscape of CSAs in Michigan and to inform and develop technical assistance and support for CSA programs of all shapes and sizes. This work has resulted in the formation of the Michigan CSA Network, which supports and promotes Michigan CSA farms.
If you currently have a CSA program in Michigan or have had a CSA operation in Michigan in the past, please consider taking this survey. Aggregated data will be used to inform local and state agencies on how to proactively address the needs of Michigan’s farms and farmers and will inform the future work of the Michigan CSA Network.
Survey responses are anonymous and will only be shared in aggregate form without any identifying information. The survey should take anywhere from 10-15 minutes to complete, and participants will be eligible upon completion for a $30 e-gift card.
Please contact Mariel Borgman (mborgm@msu.edu) or Garrett Ziegler (zieglerg@msu.edu) with MSU Extension if you have any questions about the survey.
