Raju Pokharel

Dr. Raju Pokharel is an assistant professor of forest resource economics. Raju has collaborated with the FCCP to assess the economic tradeoffs of timber products under various carbon management strategies. Additionally, he has led outreach and extension efforts to improve landowner decision-making on forest carbon markets and payments. Together, Raju has collaborated with the FCCP to implement both webinar and workshop series across the eastern US to address capacity needs related to forest carbon science, management, and policy. 

His research focuses on forest product supply chain and market models, feedstock availability, resource utilization, and forest carbon. Dr. Pokharel’s work supports research, teaching, and extension related to socioeconomics of forestry and forest management planning.
