  • Improved varieties with special emphasis on productive high-quality summer-harvested broccoli and cauliflower.
  • Expanded availability of organic and conventional seed and drench treatments for cabbage maggot management.
  • Automation and mechanization of direct-seeded and transplant-based systems, from harrowing to harvesting.
  • Improved awareness and management of swede midge in organic systems.
  • A better understanding of effective organic and conventional Alternaria leaf spot and head rot management through seed testing, seed treatments, and fungicides.
  • Deer and groundhog pest management techniques and tools.
