Research
Metabolism impacts all cellular functions and plays a fundamental role in biology. My group dissects the diverse mechanisms cells and animals use to adapt metabolism to specific physiological states. By integrating experimental approaches in cell biology, biochemistry, and multi-omics, we seek to characterize the functional benefits of nutrients beyond building blocks of the body. A fundamental goal of our research program is to identify the key regulatory nodes in metabolism to provide novel solutions for challenges in the dairy industry.
