Yolanda Thrash
Yolanda Thrash has been with Michigan State University Extension for more than 23 years as a Community Nutrition Instructor with experience in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Education Program- (SNAP ED) and Expanded Food Nutrition Education Program- (EFNEP) grants providing programming for adults and youth. She also served in the role as a Health Program Instructor with the Michigan Vaccine Project grant for-rural communities on the importance of getting vaccinated and collaborated with community partners, leaders, and 4-H coordinators to inform and increase immunization awareness and education in the community working out of the Berrien and Kalamazoo County MSU Extension office. Her mission is to serve all populations with dignity while helping them reach their full potential. She promotes and educates diverse families, youth, and communities on the importance of eating healthy, budgeting, meal planning, and physical activities. Yolanda has a bachelor's in Community Services-Family Systems and master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Siena Heights University.
