I am an agricultural and resource economist completing my Ph.D. in Spring 2015. My job-market paper studies agricultural adaptation to climate change - in particular - the role of crop choice and climate-related crop attributes (e.g., drought tolerance) in determining the value of agricultural land under different climate conditions. My other dissertation chapters study the land-use changes induced by the demand for bioenergy feedstocks and the role of irrigation as a climate adaptation strategy.
Fields of Interest
I studied switchgrass logistics optimization with linear programming for my M.S. in agricultural economics and I studied plant response to pathogens at molecular level for my B.S. in bioscience. I am equipped with a broad set of econometric modeling skills, including discrete choice, panel data, and quasi-experimental (e.g., regression discontinuity) techniques. I am familiar with STATA, R, ArcGIS, and GAMS.
