Since I began my career as researcher in 2010 in the Poverty Agriculture and Rural Development Programme of the Cambodia Development Resource Institute (CDRI), I have engaged in and carried out a number of research studies of agricultural and rural development related issues in Cambodia. Through my work, I have grown increasingly interested in empirically detecting the determinants of agricultural productivity of household production and adoption of improved farm technologies – a contributor to alleviating rural poverty. I hope that this PhD program will enable me to mobilize research findings and contribute to providing sound recommendations to the government for Cambodia’s agricultural and rural development.
