Rachel Puckett
Rachel is a Michigan State University Extension 4-H supervising and staff development educator. She has worked in this capacity since February 2023. Rachel’s primary office is in Muskegon County.
In this role, Rachel supervises 4-H program coordinators and instructors in Muskegon, Oceana, Mason, Lake, and Newaygo counties. Rachel also focuses on out-of-school time and afterschool programming in her statewide role. She currently serves on the Michigan After School Partnership Partner Council as well as participating in the Michigan Out-of-School Time Advisory Committee. She can provide additional support in the follow areas:
- Asset-based program development
- Training and team building
- Real Colors Personality Assessment
Prior to starting this role, Rachel managed 4-H STEAM Corps, an AmeriCorps program hosted by Michigan State University Extension that placed full-time, half-time, and summertime members in Extension offices across the state in order to coordinate and facilitate science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics programming. Before managing 4-H STEAM Corps, Rachel served two AmeriCorps terms with the Mentoring to Access Corps. Her host site was Oakland County MSU Extension, and she provided site coordination for the 4-H Tech Wizards mentoring program.
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Trinity University.
