Mary Beth Graebert
Mary Beth Graebert, director of finance and human resources for the MSU School of Planning, Design and Construction, manages the day-to-day administrative activities of the school. In this role, Graebert reports to the director, Dr. Ming-Han Li, and serves on the SPDC Directors Council, providing finance and HR information and recommendations to the decision-making process. She oversees support staff in the execution of budgeting, accounting, hiring/payroll, purchasing, processing travel, communications and student services. Graebert also advises some research and outreach initiatives related to the disposition of vacant properties, including quantifying the impacts of blight removal, property tax auctions and Land Bank activities. She has a master’s degree in applied economics from the University of Minnesota, and conducted her master’s thesis work on the economic value of green space. Graebert received her bachelor’s degree in International relations from MSU’s James Madison College.
