MSU Extension

Lori Martin is the executive assistant to Dave Ivan, Ph.D, and Joshua Gunn, Ph.D, director and associate director of Michigan State University Extension’s Community, Food and Environment Institute. She also supervises staff and is the office manager for the department. Lori began her career with Michigan State University in 1985 and found her work home with Michigan State University Extension in 1991. Her role has changed many times over the years as she grew with Extension. For eight years she provided executive assistance to four institutes, nine directors and supervised 13 staff, while maintaining her office manager duties. She has received many awards over the years and no matter how busy, always provides outstanding customer service to her campus teams, stakeholders, county staff, and community members. Lori is always up for the challenge, looking for ways to improve processes and is a stellar employee.
