Karly Creguer
Karly Creguer is the District 10 Director for MSU Extension, serving Huron, Tuscola, Sanilac, Lapeer, and St. Clair counties. She works closely with county boards of commissioners on budgeting and other matters related to MSU Extension's work. Karly also works to build and maintain partnerships essential to providing programming and resources in the district. She is a leader passionate about helping others discover their strengths and how to cultivate those natural talents to make a positive impact.
In her previous role with Extension, Karly was Supervising and Staff Development Educator. She served as a catalyst for this self-discovery for a team of Community Nutrition Instructors and helped them harness their gifts to work more effectively, efficiently, and enjoyably.
Prior to this role, Karly served as a Community Nutrition Instructor herself, where she spent five years teaching limited-resource individuals and families how to live a healthy lifestyle while staying on a budget. This included facilitating nutrition and physical activity lessons in group classes of youth up to older adults. She also partnered with sites and organizations in her community and coached them through implementing changes to make healthy choices easy choices for its members. This first-hand experience has afforded Karly essential insight as she now leads, coaches, and serves her teammates, developing them into the best resources they can be for their communities.
Karly is a graduate of Central Michigan University (CMU) where she earned a Bachelor of Science in dietetics. She is also a graduate of the Leadership Advancement Scholarship Program at CMU. Karly then became a Spartan and completed a Master of Public Health degree at Michigan State University.
