Kanchan Pavangadkar, Ph.D
Kanchan Pavangadkar is the Director of Student Success for the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR). Her role is to identify, implement, and assess student success initiatives and programs for the college. Kanchan is deeply committed to using data-driven approaches in her work related to retention, persistence, and graduation. Additionally, she is charged with developing targeted engagement activities for undergraduate students.
She has served in several different roles at MSU since 2003 – a graduate student, a researcher, and an academic advisor. Kanchan is passionate about all things related to STEM! She is a recipient of multiple awards such as NACADA’s Region 5 ‘Great Lakes Great Leaders Award’, College of Natural Science’s ‘Outstanding Academic Advisor Award’ and MSU’s ‘Outstanding Established Academic Advisor Award’.
She empowers students to navigate the complexities of higher education, guides them to acquire the skills needed to be successful, fosters meaningful connections with students, staff, and faculty, and is a strong advocate of student success. Kanchan loves traveling to the Great Lakes in Michigan, spending time with family and friends, reading, gardening, and going on long walks.
