Joe Schipani, MPA
Joseph (Joe) Schipani is originally from Oakland County though he has been a resident of Flint since 2006. Schipani comes from a management/marketing background, having run several boat dealerships in the Metro Detroit area, and having served as a marketing specialist in the areas of home improvement, and legal services, and the Executive Director of Flint Public Art Project. He received undergraduate degree in Theatre Design, with a minor in Substance Abuse Counseling at the University of Michigan – Flint and master degree in Public Administration at the University of Michigan. Schipani also serves in a volunteer capacity as a case manager at My Brother’s Keeper, a men’s homeless shelter in Flint. Schipani has an avid love of dogs and historical restoration. He is the proud parent and grandparent to a daughter, son, and three grandchildren. Both he and his partner take care of their elderly aunt in their historic home in the Carriage Town district of Flint.
