I’m currently a first year PhD student at CSUS. I earned my MSc in Community Sustainability here, and both my BA in Political Science, and my BSc in Microbiology from Miami University. Before joining the CSUS Department in the fall of 2022 I was a sales representative at ThermoFisher Scientific.
Broadly speaking, I am interested in the social, temporal, and spatial dimensions of energy technologies and energy transitions. My current research focuses on local community involvement, engagement, and perceptions of large-scale solar energy projects. My master’s thesis specifically focused on urban resident preferences and perceptions of large ground-mounted solar projects developed on urban brownfields and in urban contexts.
Outside of work I enjoy napping with my cats, hiking with my partner, and complaining about car culture and car-dominated infrastructure [No, I don’t make exceptions for EVs!].
