Heejin Kim is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics at Michigan State University. She received her PhD in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her research focuses on public policy and regional economics, with an emphasis on regional development projects and infrastructure investment in both rural and urban areas of the US. Currently, she is involved in several research projects, including studies on the impact of educational and transportation infrastructure provision in underserved areas. Her work aims to provide insight into how public policies influence economic development and neighborhood dynamics and to inform decision-making in regional development.
