Grace Newland
Grace Newland is an undergraduate student in the Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources Education program. As an undergraduate research assistant on the Flint Leverage Points Project, she is working on the ‘The History of Food in Flint’ portion, helping co-create an interactive timeline to highlight social, economic, and environmental events that shaped Flint’s current food system. She is also working on the ‘Food System Stories’ phase of the project, helping identify problems in the Flint food system through listening to residents’ stories and paring it to an archetype, a story about how a system behaves overtime. In her free time, Grace likes to read, craft, explore new cities, and thrift.
