Florian Hodel, Ph.D.
A quantum chemist by training, I have spent many months in tropical rainforests and arctic wildernesses, which fueled my interest in ecology and biology. Eventually, I decided to switch fields and now try to apply methods and principles from different scientific disciplines to tackle questions of movement and landscape ecology, population ecology, statistical ecology, and animal conservation.
Currently, I’m developing a simulation framework to assess management strategies to mitigate and control chronic wasting disease (CWD) invasion and spread.
