Christian is pursuing his Masters Degree in the Department of Community Sustainability focusing on societal issues of food security and hunger alleviation. Christian grew up in nearby Williamston and obtained his bachelor of arts in International Studies with a specialization in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems, and International Development at Michigan State University. He then served a year as a Power of We Consortium AmeriCorps State member in Northwest Lansing focusing on health initiatives, community gardens, and farmers markets. His research interests include social network analysis, household food security, community engagement, and international development. After completing his schooling, Christian hopes to work within the development community to help alleviate hunger all around the world.
