Brian Wibby is an educator at Michigan State University Extension. He has worked in this capacity since February 2009. Brian's primary office is located at the Upper Peninsula Research and Extension Center located in Chatham, MI (Alger County).

In this role, Brian focuses on youth leadership for social change with the Leadership, Civic, and Cultural Engagement work team. Brian provides leadership for positive youth development programming focused youth leadership, community engagement and global citizenship on a statewide basis. Brian is a co-founder and co-director of the World Food Prize Michigan Youth Institute at Michigan State University, a co-director of the Michigan 4-H Spectacular Youth Leadership Institute, provides leadership for the MSU 4-H HealthCorps AmeriCorps program, and is a certified instructor of Youth and Teen Mental Health First Aid courses.

Brian is a Global Scholar within the MSU College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the 2023 recipient of the Special Recognition Award for Promoting International Understanding from MSU International Studies and Programs. In 2024, Brian received a Global Goals - Local Leaders Award from the Greater Lansing United Nations Association and the North-Central Regional Award for Individual Excellence in Extension from the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities.  

Brian holds a Master of Science in Social Administration degree from the Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from the College of Communication Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University.
