Annie’s Project is dedicated to strengthening women’s roles on modern farms. Through this program, farm women learn about financial and production records, marketing plans, risk management, communication, human resources and more. Participants share and compare life experiences and learn from other women who are living and working in a complex, dynamic agriculture business environment. An advanced Annie’s Project program, Managing for Today and Tomorrow, is also available. Annie’s Project has been successfully conducted in over 30 states.
In the basic Annie’s Project course, farm women are exposed to information on financial records, production records, marketing plans and risk management, communication, legal regulation, estate planning, and human resources. Participants are able to share and compare life’s experiences and learn from other women who are living and working in a complex, dynamic agriculture business environment.
Managing for Today and Tomorrow, a second level Annie’s Project course, teaches business, estate, retirement and succession planning. Farm women will develop networks and skills key to making successful farm transitions.
Since 2008 there have been over 15 Annie’s Project programs offered in Michigan. To learn more about Annie’s Project or to find out how an Annie’s Project can be held in your area contact.
