GardenComm, formerly the Garden Writers Association and GWA: The Association for Garden Communicators, is an organization of professional communicators in the green industry including book authors, bloggers, staff editors, syndicated columnists, freelance writers, photographers, speakers, landscape designers, television and radio personalities, consultants, publishers, extension service agents and more. 

GardenComm Scholarships

GardenComm continues our commitment to provide financial assistance to deserving students and emerging professionals who wish to pursue or further a career in horticultural communications through academic and conference scholarships. 

Academic Scholarships 

Academic scholarship awards range from $500 or $1,000 per student and includes a complimentary full year membership to GardenComm. The application period for academic scholarships opens in early September and closes in early December. Scholarship awards are announced in early January.
