Safe Food = Healthy Kids Curriculum
Safe Food = Healthy Kids (SFHK) is a comprehensive food safety training for childcare providers. This curriculum was developed for Extension Educators to educate childcare providers. By establishing a foundation for best practices in food safety, we can reduce the incidence of foodborne illness in children.
The SFHK curriculum is being housed in the D2L platform and can only be accessed with an account and password, please follow the instructions below.

Registration instructions
To register for access to the course site, you will need to create an account, sign in with your email/password, and complete the registration process (you will need to log into a course site in order to access the curriculum). - Step #2: Login with your MSU Guest Account and Password on the following page to access the registration form (see screen capture below): Safe Food = Healthy Kids Registration
- Step #3: Follow the instructions to register for the course. Upon registration, you will receive a receipt and instructions for accessing the course.

Logging into the online course
Once you have registered, you will receive an email with instructions on how to login to the course at https://d2l.msu.edu/. You will use the same login credentials that you set during registration (your NetID is your email address used during registration and use the same password set during registration). If you need to reset your password at any time go to https://auth.msu.edu/ and select the option for "Need help Signing in."

Your username (or NET ID) is the email address you used to create your account during registration (you use the same email address/password for registering and for taking the course). -

A “not authenticated” message is typically an issue with a password not being entered correctly. To reset your password visit https://auth.msu.edu/ and select the “Need Help Signing In” link. Follow the prompts to reset your password. -
