This publication provides information about the major Christmas tree species grown in the North Central region, including varietal characteristics and factors such as growth rate, form, density, color and environmental tolerances. The grower should evaluate all of the factors to determine the species and variety to be planted on particular sites, and the decisions should relate to the grower's entire Christmas tree operation.
