Michigan’s Natural Resources As They Relate to Land Use Planning & Zoning

To assess the long-term impacts of land use planning and zoning decisions, they must be able to access and understand various types of natural resource information. A survey of all townships, counties, and regional planning commissions was conducted to determine what natural resource information is known and used. The results from the survey provide critical direction to natural resource agencies, organizations and information providers to develop materials which are usable for Michigan communities.
