Grazing Practices

Competency B3: Demonstrate safe animal handling and management techniques to meet producer, animal, consumer, and environmental needs.
 

Description

Overgrazing is not sustainable. As such, there are a variety of different practices that agriculturalists can use to graze their animals, like pasture rotation. Animals also have varying grazing behaviors, so it’s important to understand how different animals might impact your land.
