Cultivate Michigan
November 7, 2014
Cultivate Michigan is designed to help ramp up Farm to Institution programs and track progress. It is a campaign of the Michigan Farm to Institution Network (the Network), a group of practitioners, supporters and advocates all sharing common goals to help Farm to Institution programs grow.
The Michigan Farm to Institution Network is a statewide forum for learning and sharing that uses shared capacity to overcome the challenges of getting more Michigan food into institutions. Network Membership is available to Farm to Institution practitioners, farmers, suppliers, advocates, supporters and researchers. The Network is comprised of three subcommittees. These teams focus on sharing achievements, guiding practitioners toward success, and investigating opportunities and limitations of Farm to Institution programs.
The Michigan Farm to Institution Network, and its institutional purchasing campaign Cultivate Michigan, is co-coordinated by Michigan State University (MSU) Center for Regional Food Systems and the Ecology Center and is supported by MSU Extension.
