CACCI Report #10: Exploring Methane Concentration Dynamics above Senegalese Croplands

Summary: This Field Note examines the dynamics of methane concentration above croplands in Senegal using data from the TROPOMI satellite. Covering the period from November 2021 to April 2023, the study aims to provide insights into methane emissions associated with agricultural practices. The findings highlight the temporal and spatial variability of methane concentrations and their potential implications for climate change mitigation strategies in Senegal. The authors discuss the importance of monitoring methane emissions and suggest practices to reduce these emissions from agricultural sources.
