Patricia Monterrosa
Patricia Monterrosa is a Michigan State University Extension Educator in Ingham County.
In this role, Patricia focuses on Career Development and College Access for underrepresented audiences.
Prior to joining MSU Extension, Patricia was an Elementary School Science teacher and Principal at C. C. Haim Weizmann, Mexico City. She designed inclusive strategies in learning environments working with regular and special needs students, and enriched accessibility to science for students in the community. She created and taught hands-on science workshops and developed educational management strategies in direct contact with the Secretary of Public Education (Mexico City).
Patricia holds a bachelor's degree in Pedagogy (Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, Mexico City), and Master of Arts in Neurocognition, Education and Learning (Instituto de Enlaces Educativos, Mexico City).
Because of her efforts in science education, she was awarded a scholarship from the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs to attend the course “Educación para la Ciencia y Tecnología ITC” (Science and Technology Education) in Israel, 2012.
