Abdikadir Kurewa
Abdikadir Kurewa is a research assistant employed at the National Museums of Kenya. He was born and brought up in Loiyangalani; a small remote centre located on the eastern shores of Lake Turkana. Abdikadir has previously worked as a curator for Koobi Fora Museum. In addition, he also worked as a community organiser with the Friends of Lake Turkana, a grassroots organization dedicated to the protection of the environment and people of the Lake Turkana Basin. Abdikadir holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences, from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa. His current research interests includes Large- scale land acquisition and Indigenous People's rights advocacy, Heritage management and sustainable community development, and local adaptation strategies to climate change with a focus on minority groups in Northern Kenya.
