Melissa Nichols
Background
Melissa Nichols is the Human Dimensions Analyst for the Michigan Invasive Species Program within the Michigan Departments of Natural Resources; Agriculture and Rural Development; and Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy. In her current role she works to evaluate stakeholder values, opinions, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors related to invasive species prevention and management in Michigan. Prior to joining the Invasive Species Program, she spent eight years with the research section in the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Division where she worked on wildlife ecology, wildlife behavior, and human dimensions projects. She has a bachelor's and master's degree in biology from Grand Valley State University.
