Manasi is an international graduate student in the CSUS MS-A program, from India. She works as the project manager/ graduate assistant at SiRO (Studies in Radicalism Online housed at MSU Libraries).
She is pursuing her masters thesis research in the area of perception of empowerment and collective action by rural women in India. Manasi is also pursuing a specialization in Gender, Justice and Environment at MSU. She has a law degree from India from National Law University, Jodhpur. She also has over 10 years of experience and has worked as a corporate lawyer, social entrepreneur and social development worker in the past. Her work in India over the last five years involved managing programs supporting entrepreneurship and capacity building of rural women artisans. Manasi is a passionate advocate for gender equity and hopes to continue working towards it, in the field of international development.
Manasi loves to travel, spend time outdoors in nature, camp and swim. She loves to meet new people and learn about new cultures and food. In her free time she likes to dance salsa and photograph nature and new places.
