Bio:

Linh Dao is a senior at the School of Packaging with an expected graduation in May 2018. In addition, she is pursuing a dual degree in Supply Chain Management. Linh has been a member of Dr. Almenar’s research lab since Fall 2015. In Spring 2017, she took a break from school and undergraduate research to complete a 6-month internship at Kimberly-Clark Corporation. 

Research focus:

Linh is currently working on development and characterizing bio-based packaging material and studying cross-linking effects between polysaccharides and essential oils with antimicrobial capacity. In April 2016, she presented the first phase of her research titled “Developing and Characterizing Gels with Antimicrobial Capacity for Food Packaging Applications” at UURAF and received a first prize for her category.
