John McCarthy joined the Center for Regional Food Systems (CRFS) team as the Grants Support Specialist for the Great Lakes Midwest Regional Food Business Center (GLM-RFBC) in February 2025. As the Grants Support Specialist, he will be assisting with the Business Builder Sub-Award application process and other capacity-building opportunities.

Prior to joining the CRFS, John held a diverse range of roles within the food supply chain, including chef, food hub manager, finance manager, program manager, master gardener, farmer, and small business owner. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, a Certification in Food Hub Management, and an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts.
