Jennifer is in the process of conducting her dissertation research titled : "Use of the Community Capitals Framework to Assess Management Capacity of Inland Lake Communities in Michigan". This research will help to enable riparian communities to better protect their lakes which are an important source of tax revenue for municipalities and yield multiple ecosystem services. Jennifer received her BS in Biological Sciences (emphasis on Limnology) from Michigan Technological University and her MS degree from Grand Valley State University in Water Resources. In 2011, Jennifer received the Gilbert W Mouser Fellowship for her advocacy in environmental leadership and education for riparians. She currently owns a successful business that involves lake restoration and management.
