Emily is a 4-H Supervising and Staff Development Educator at Michigan State University Extension. She has worked in this capacity since November of 2023. Emily’s primary office is in Jackson, MI.

In this role, Emily supervises 4-H program coordinators/instructors in District 12, which includes Hillsdale, Jackson, Lenawee, Livingston, Monroe, and Washtenaw counties.
Emily also focuses on program planning and management in her statewide role.
Emily has a long history with MSU Extension. Before starting her current position, she was a 4-H Program Coordinator in Washtenaw, Livingston, and Jackson Counties for almost nine years. She supported the traditional 4-H program, facilitating volunteer recruitment, training and support and management of 4-H clubs, councils, and committees.

Before coming to MSU Extension, Emily worked at two different youth camps, eventually directing the Equestrian program for over seven years. She has always had a passion for working with youth and that has only been enhanced working with youth in the 4-H program. Emily has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor’s of Social Work from Spring Arbor University and is currently working on a Master’s in Social Work from Michigan State University with plans to graduate in Spring of 2024.
