Birhanu Mergesa Lenjiso
Dr. Lenjiso is a dedicated and accomplished academician with successful teaching, research and academic administration experiences. He earned BA in Sociology and Social Anthropology, MA in Sociology both from Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia) and PhD in Social Sciences from Radboud University Nijmegen (The Netherlands). He has been teaching Sociology at Ambo University (Ethiopia) for 7 years. Dr Lenjiso`s primary research goals are directed towards understanding the impact of development policies and interventions on intra-household gender relations, intra-household resource allocations, food security, child nutrition and parental investment on child educational welfare in developing countries. He successfully progressed in evaluation researches works and published numerous articles in internationally peer-reviewed journals, as book chapters and books. Dr Lenjiso received International Foundation for Science (IFS) individual researchers grant in 2013 and Organization for Social Science Research in Eastern and Southern African (OSSREA) young African researchers fellowship in 2011. He has also worked for International Livestock Research Institute, Clinton Foundation, Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, and USAID-Ethiopia.
