Born, bred in Turkana and having worked for the defunct Turkana Fishermen’s Cooperative Society on Lake Turkana in various positions in the 1980s and done some publications in the fisheries sector, I have maintained a keen interest in what happens in the catchment area of the lake and its fisheries over the years. I have recently consulted for the County Government of Turkana on a matter touching on the sustainable management of the lake resources. OTuRN therefore embodies and hope advances that special interest I have in the region.
