Laura Bix, PhD, is an Associate Dean for Graduate Programs in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and a Professor and Interim Director at the School of Packaging at Michigan State University. She holds dear the ideal that an accessible, public, post-secondary education is a crucial catalyst to economic growth and an important part of a stable society, and views graduate education as a central tenet in delivering on the promise that Higher Education holds. Her administrative roles leverage over 20 years of experience as a mentor of students, having served as the Major Professor for over 40 Graduate students since beginning on the faculty at MSU in 2002 and teaching thousands in MSU classrooms.
She believes in pairing opportunities for student growth to self-identified student goals for professional development.
