Academic Interest

My research interests have two main components: group gestation housing and sow colostrum production. In my investigation of group gestation housing, I am focusing on free access stall systems and their impact on stall utilization, the occurrence of fighting events, injury rates, and reproductive performance. For sow colostrum, I plan to examine individual colostrum yield and quality across multiple parities, as well as how colostrum intake influences long-term piglet performance.
