Welcome Dr. Armin Yeganeh
Welcome Dr. Armin Yeganeh, our new assistant professor in the CM Program!
This semester, SPDC welcomes Dr. Armin Yeganeh to our construction management program as an assistant professor. His extensive research experience, on top of his robust professional and educational background will make him a great asset to the program and to our school.
Before joining Michigan State University, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Virginia Tech where he earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Design and Planning. During his graduate education, he worked at the Virginia Center for Housing Research on drafting and presenting industry reports, studies, policies, programs, panel discussions, and presentations on housing and community development.
Armin received his first master’s degree in Architectural Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology. At Virginia Tech, he received a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning and a master’s degree in Building Science and Construction Management.
Armin’s research explores questions on innovative practices and policies that can help advance construction management, sustainable housing, and real estate development. As an author, reviewer, or guest editor, Armin regularly contributes to peer-reviewed scientific journals, including Building and Environment, Building Research & Information, Cities, Current Opinion in Environmental Sustainability, Ecological Economics, Energy and Buildings, Urban Climate, and Urban Studies.
Dr. Yeganeh’s specialty covers an important area for the construction management program as we look to grow our areas of expertise.
“Dr. Armin Jeddi Yeganeh’s specialty in sustainable housing and real estate development in addition to construction management is exactly what our school needs for expanding the real estate subject area.” said Ming-Han Li, Director of the School of Planning, Design and Construction.
“He will be involved with the Graduate Certificate Program, our school’s new initiative. I am excited about what Dr. Yeganeh will bring to the construction management program and school.”
We are looking forward to working with Dr. Yeganeh, a feeling that he shares as well.
