Veggie Vibes Social Time, Third Tuesdays at Southwest Michigan Research and Extension Center

Visit the MSU research farm outside Benton Harbor and learn about vegetables and vegetable production from peers and experts in a social walk-about setting.

Evening field walks 

Calling all vegetable growers, gardeners and eaters! Join us at the Southwest Michigan Research and Extension Center (SWMREC) for an evening walk to learn about what's currently happening in the Michigan State University Extension vegetable programs here, seek advice, kick equipment, grab a bite to eat, and just generally enjoy a summer evening on the farm.​ 

Topics will be defined by the day and makeup of attendees, and may include soil health, irrigation and water management, weed control, pest management, tools and technology, farmer health, and harvest and post-harvest issues. 

What to bring 

A simple meal will be provided for about 20 people, however please feel free to bring a dish, snack or beverage to share. ​

These events will be held outdoors so please dress comfortably for the weather. 

Where to meet 

1791 Hillandale Rd, Benton Harbor, MI 49022 at the second building on the right, with the picnic tables and two large garage doors.
