Unconventional Fruit Working Group returns for 2025
The first meeting will be held virtually on April 24 from 12-1 p.m. This is a free virtual meetup group for fruit farmers who grow fruit using non-conventional practices.
Join Derek Plotkowski, Mike Reinke and Cheyenne Sloan of Michigan State University Extension on Thursday, April 24 to kick off the 2025 series of the Unconventional Fruit Working Group. This is a free virtual meetup group for fruit farmers who grow fruit using non-conventional practices, including but not limited to organic farmers. Each 1-hour meeting has a theme, with the April 24 theme being "Buying products for the 2025 season."
Much like last year’s series, this will be a space that primarily serves to facilitate discussion among growers, with our Michigan State University (MSU) Extension educators and specialists guiding the conversation. These meetings will be recorded, and recordings will be available after the meetings for those that cannot attend live.
These meetings run roughly once a month with a focus on seasonal and timely topics. These meetings will usually be on the last Thursday of each month from 12-1 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to follow other MSU Extension weekly regional reports that can be found on the MSU Extension Fruit and Nuts page.
