Mega Concept
The inspiration for The Temple project design is the quatrefoil design in both the Gothic (Christianity) and the Eastern (Islamic) tradition. The first floor will symbolize the Eastern design, while the second and mezzanine levels will represent the Western (Gothic) design. The quatrefoil pattern will be used throughout the space, both literally in its form through fabrics and wood designs, and conceptually in the custom booth arrangements. The designs will morph and transform into various varieties of itself from organic to geometric in a way-finding ceiling design feature connecting the two restaurants together.
Historic Preservation: The design focused on preserving the original structure, limiting demolition and construction costs. All original flooring to remain, except for vestibule tile. Wood and concrete flooring to be repaired and finished. Damaged windows, flooring and plaster will be repaired instead of replaced. Sustainability & ADA
Sustainability
“The greenest building is the one already built.” The design will use VOC paint and green products.
ADA
Removable ramps will be added to the front entry. Elevator will be conveniently located near the entrance and reception. Wide isles will include smooth flooring transitions.
