On Wednesday, October 29, the Michigan State University (MSU) B.E. Visionary Speaker Series welcomes Jennifer Gilbert, an MSU Interior Design alumnae, to speak about her work as a built environment professional and entrepreneur. She is the CEO and Founder of Doodle Home, an organization that tackles the business side of interior design, and Co-Founder of dPOP!, or People Office Places, a start-to-finish solution design company for workspaces, both based in Detroit.
Students from the MSU School of Planning, Design and Construction are encouraged to attend to learn about Gilbert’s experiences, including working as an entrepreneur and surviving the recession, and she’ll talk about some of the exciting projects she is engaged in around Detroit and elsewhere in Michigan. Gilbert will also highlight what she’s looking for when hiring built environment professionals.
This event is free and open to the public, and takes place from 6:15-8 p.m. in the Lake Huron Room at the MSU Union in East Lansing, with a catered social hour for networking after Gilbert’s presentation.
