MSU Herbicide School offered in Washtenaw County
This meeting will aid growers and crop consultants in making wiser decisions regarding herbicide use and reducing weed pressure in prevented planting acres.
Michigan State University Extension in southeast Michigan will be offering Herbicide School: Controlling Weeds in Prevented Planting Acres from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 27, 2020, at the Washtenaw County MSU Extension office, 705 N. Zeeb Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48107.
During the 2019 growing season, an average of 35% of the fields in southeast Michigan did not get planted, allowing weeds to thrive and set seeds. As a result, weed control will be the biggest challenge farmers will face in 2020.
This one-day herbicide school that will give farmers and the local agriculture industry the right tools to control weeds in prevented planted acres.
