Event Preview Feature

How to use the Event Preview feature in Events Management System.

The event preview feature in EMS allows you to view what the public will see when visiting your event registration website before your event is activated. Use the preview feature to review your event description page and registration forms. You can answer questions and click through each page of your registration site, but it will not save any of the data entered. This allows you to make sure your event description includes all the relevant information, your registration buttons are properly labeled, your registration forms collect the data you need and the confirmation message includes the important event information including the event title, time, date, and location. 

It is very important that you do not share the preview page link with registrants because it will not save their information and is not the same as the real URL ANR Event Services will send you after your event is activated.  

To use the preview feature, follow these steps:  

  1. On the Event Dashboard, click Configure Event. 
  2. On the Event Summary tab, scroll down to the clickable link that says “Event Preview.”  
  3. A new tab will appear with a preview version of the public link.  
  4. Review your event landing page, description, registration forms, registration questions and confirmation message.   

Please remember the preview feature only works as a test preview and will not save any data entered. If the preview feature website link is shared with participants, it will create problems with your registration because participants will think they have registered but their data is not actually stored in the registration system. Only share the event registration URL shared with you by ANR Event Services upon activation.
